Kerri is a life-long resident of Naperville who attended North Central College where she studied biology and chemistry and earned her Bachelor's Degree. Through high school and into college, her love of animals was tremendously apparent - working as a vet tech for a local veterinarian for several years. Although her first jobs out of college were chemist positions within laboratories with scientific companies, she quickly learned that working solitarily at a lab bench did not fit her passion for animals and desire to interact with people.

Kerri started her canine training career as a PetSmart obedience instructor. At the same time, she was training as an obedience and agility student under Pam Juliano of Blitzen Canine Academy. Kerri and her beloved black lab "Tyrone", (1994 - 2007), began competing in agility and sharing their enthusiasm and excitement for the sport with Kerri's obedience students. Kerri's students urged her to start building agility equipment so she could share the sport with others, in 1996. Kerri has developed her school focusing on positive and humane training techniques and methods.

Kerri is the proud and devoted mother of TJ and Jessi. She has trained in obedience and agility, and competed in agility with her two labs - Tyrone (black ) and Trouble (yellow). Kerri is a Certified Pet Dog Trainer (CPDT), a member of APDT (Association of Pet Dog Trainers) and a member of Doggone Safe dog bite prevention.
